A BIG Change....
If you have followed me the past two year on Xanga...thank you! I know it's been quiet on here for a while now. I've been changing some things to simplify my life. One of the things I've been doing is losing weight! God has convicted my heart on a very deep level about gluttony. I am blogging about it on my other blog...
http://jennifergriffin.wordpress.com
So far I have lost a bit over 27 pounds! Yeah! It's not been easy at all. I started a few weeks before the holidays and that made it difficult. Just so you know I had lost 15 pounds over the few months before that...I haven't lost 27 in one month....I'm not on the Biggest Loser. :) I am determined to be the best Jennifer I can be! I have cheated myself and God by putting food and my desires above Jesus Christ. If you know this is something you struggle with I'd love to support you in any way I can! I would suggest picking up the book "Love to Eat, Hate to Eat". It has opened my eyes to so much and it is giving me the tools I need to succeed! I have a very long way to go but, I want God to be glorified through this life long battle. It is hard for me to even type this....it's hard to admit that you have a huge problem. I know that it is a sin to be a glutton so I am doing all I can to change that! Will I fail...probably at times. I want to be real and honest when I'm doing great and when I am struggling. Thanks for your support and prayers...I could use them both!
I hope you'll follow me over to my wordpress blog! I will still check in on my Xanga friends and try to keep up with you all and your lives.
Thank you! Jen

That's so awesome, Jen! 27pounds!! I'll follow you to your new blog home!
Way to go and way to keep on going!
I know it's difficult to change those habits, so here's a verse that seriously helps me out with my worst habits-- Titus 2:11-14. The meat of it for me is this: "For the grace of God...teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives..."
May the Lord grant you success!
Good for you! I rejoice with you! I am trying hard to make better eating and exercise choices, too. I couldn't agree more that overeating is a spiritual issue as well. It is a battle, but how exciting that we can have victory!
Great job Jen!!! Thanks for your honesty... may the Lord bring a great victory in your life!! Keep trusting Him and He will direct your paths. (Don't you think we can even trust Him to direct our forks and spoons
as we seek Him in all things??? hehehe) You'll remain in my prayers!
I know first hand this journey you're on. I'm still on the failing end of the spectrum. Thanks for linking over to your other blog and the book recommendation!
Congratulations, Jen! Way to accomplish something good... for great reasons.
